cleaning the Kill switch

Post by van isle rider »

I am having an issue getting my wing started. Was running fine and died when I was travelling on the highway at about 100 km/hour 60 miles an our. Turns over like crazy but no power to the fuel pump. Changed fuel pump and relay switch and no change. Some comments suggest the kill switch could be the problem. Manual doesn't help. It suggests removing the right side panels and I have done that but the pic in the manual looks nothing like what mine looks like. Any ideas?

After having the bike not start at the wand wash twice and dickin with the kill to get it to fire I pulled it apart and put both leads on the same terminal eliminateing the problem.

Check the voltage while cranking; if it falls below about 10.5 volts the ECU won't send power to the fuel pump.
