Hello All,
Don't know if this has been covered but I'm wanting to add a couple of usb outlets and was wondering if the light up ones will drain the battery over a week or two. Wouldn't think they draw enough power to cause a problem but wanted to see if anyone else has some experience.
Thanks

Re: Light up usb outlets
Not if you power it from the accessory source so they are not on all the time.

Re: Light up usb outlets
The LED will probably draw about .030 amp (30 mA). If you connect the outlet directly to the battery, it will draw a steady current and in about 2 weeks will have drawn a little over 10 amps. Since the battery is a 20 amp battery, you can expect it go dead in a month or so.MOSE717 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 22, 2023 8:11 pm Hello All,

Re: Light up usb outlets
The 1500 needs all the battery it can get for starting. If you wire them to the accessory terminals, no problem. However, if you wire them on all the time, in a week or two, I bet you will have starting problems.

Re: Light up usb outlets
Thanks for the replies. Sounds like they shouldn't be wired directly to the battery.
