what wire/circuit turns off the headlight when pressing the start button?
Is it in the ECU?
I can not find any wire from the switch that interrupts the ground on the headlight.

Re: what wire circuit turns off the headlight when pressing the start button?
The start button is two switches, with 4 wires. The brown/white which changes to brown/red at C57 gets power from fuse 12. When the start button is out it passes that power over the blue/white wire which feeds the headlight dimmer switch then on to the relays and lights. (and a ton of other things that control the reverse)
Nothing interrupts the ground, all switching is done via the positive line.

Thank you, for the information.
I will test out the switch for a bad connection.
