That time of the year again

Post by DragonRdr »

Unfortunately for those of us in the North East it's that time again. Although I did see a few riders out today when I was running errands. Time to put the bikes in hibernation for the winter. If you haven't checked it out, take a look a Scott's video on how to winterize your bike.

Cheers and Happy Holidays!

I tried that back in 1986 when I lived in Colorado. I had a Kawasaki KZ750 then. Let's just say I'll never ride in snow again.

You're right, we had our first snow on Monday night and the salt trucks were busy putting down salt early Tuesday morning. I won't take the bikes back out in the spring until a few good rains have washed away all the road salt residue. They put down so much salt around here that the roads look white all winter. :o

Cheers

Its nice to have a bike ready just in case. Have not salted roads here so far. Sometimes we get lucky and make it until January. Its rare but you never know. Can recall riding around xmas some years with flakes of snow in the air but nothing on ground and no salt. Its very surreal and not as cold as would have guessed. Being cold was not an issue. But am same that once salt is down cover goes on bikes. :D
