Replacement Exhaust system

Post by mail4col@gmail.com »

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has fitted a Delkavic exhaust system to their GL1500 ?
I'm thinking about buying one like in the attached picture.

Just wondering if anyone else has fitted one and how it went ?

Would be getting rid of the collector box / muffler box, so guessing it will sound a bit louder.

Best Regards,

Colm

From what I can see those are only for the Valkyrie. Is that what you have?

They are listed as being for the GL1500 FC6, so I was hoping they would fit both the GL1500 and the Valkyrie.

I have a GL1500

Rambozo is right on this one, if you look at the ad at the top it says F6C Valkyrie. I have a Valkyrie and have been looking into getting a new exhaust. I've looked at this one and the Cobra 6 into 6. By the way there's a guy in the UK that has a You Tube channel called Delboys Garage. Check out his channel and I'll bet if you message him he' may know where you can get an exhaust over there. I'll post a link below. Good luck. :)

Thanks for your advice on this guys.

I thought as they were listed for the GL 1500 FC6 then it meant they could fit both the Goldwing GL1500 and the FC6 Valkyrie.

I checked out Black Widow and they do silencers for the Goldwing GL 1500, just not the full system.

I have also found online a new replacement collector pipe piece.

So with both of the above options, I should be sorted 8-)

P.S. Thanks for the Delboys Garage link, I've watched a few of his videos alright, good viewing.

You're very welcome. I've used several of his video's for reference on work for my Gold Wing. Of course there are also excellent video's on this site as well. :D
