hyperflash on LED's

Post by pontdog »

i posted earlier about replacing my relay with an amazon purchase and after it didn't work i tried switching the wires around on it and it fried my self cancelling unit,so there is a wrecked bike near me and i got all the relays and self cancelling unit,so after putting all the candescent lights back and replacing the relays with originals i started fresh.
after realizing that the LED's do't draw enough power i thought why not keep some original lights and make a splitter to the the LED's so i put the signals into the bottom of the bags and made a splitter at the red connector and run power to the lights in the bags so i can keep the original relays and no hyperflash i hope this works

Cyclemax and others used to sell an upgrade bag light kit that has turn signals as well as running and brake lights. They also have a center light that replaces the reflector, if you don't have that.
They still have the center light but I don't see the bag lights. You might want to hunt for those as they would be perfect for your trunkless project.

I probably got one of the last of those light kits for the saddle bags.
Adds a bit of visibility with two directionals flashing instead of just one.
And with three LEDs, the lights flash at the normal rate.

I have replaced all of my lights with LED's, go to SuperbrightLED.com and they will provide you with the correct bulbs and inline resistors that will make them act like normal bulbs... just my 2 cents.

Thank you,
Robert
