Be seated

Post by Rambozo »

I finally got around to installing some replacement seat upholstery I got on ebay a few years ago. I did the backrest right away but since the seat wasn't that bad, I put it off. Tonight, I got it done as the seat had been just going downhill. I found stainless staples so no more rust. I used long zip ties to feed the elastic straps through the holes in the seat base. I think it came out ok for a first attempt. I like the two tone look. One thing I didn't like is the flap in the back didn't have much foam in it, and it was sewn shut so I couldn't easily move the foam block from the original seat. It was a pretty easy project and makes the bike look a lot better.

Long overdue.

Thats kinda spiffy. Upholstery can be a PITA. Good job.
That's not just a motorcycle. It's a Gold Wing.
