Position lights not working. Found the fix!

Post by Keystone209 »

I just want to share my experience, maybe it will help someone else one day.

It started when I discovered that the fuel gauge wasn't working, it was stuck on full. According the manual the first thing to do is verify that the temp gauge is working which required me to remove the left side radiator fan. Ran all the tests, located and made the required repair. Success! Reassembled everything, went to go for a ride only to discover that the position and corning lights no longer worked. Removed the left side cover, checked power at the corning light but found none. Checked the fuse and relay #7, both good. Started doing the shake and wiggle the wires and connectors hoping to find something loose. Discovered a relay located behind the left radiator fan next to what I think is part of the cruise control. Gave the wire connector a little squeeze...herd that wonderful click sound and the lights came on! Must have banged or bummed it earlier. Never knew what is was before nor do I remember ever reading anything about it's location before but I'm glad I found it. Hope this helps someone, somewhere, sometime.

Excellent contribution. Thank you so much.
At night and at 100 it is not noticeable.
