low fuel light

i have a 93 gl 1500, my low fuel light came on when i filled up. most likely it went bad. can i just unplug it from top of the tank until i get it fixed

According to the manual, nothing bad should happen with its disconnection, but first you could verify that the ground or its main WHT/BLU cable is not dirty or cut.

At night and at 100 it is not noticeable.

The thermistor that is used for the low fuel sensor is notorious for failing.

Thanks for the info. I had an old pump and got the old thermistor off and put it on and that did the trick
