trunkless 1500 goldwing

Post by pontdog »

i bought this wing last fall and after i took on this big venture of doing this all myself replacing belts, new fork seals and bushings, steering head bearings new brakes, rebuilt calipers, new tires, air filter and adding LED tailights and signals and getting rid of my trunk as well as building new brackets for it and covers that i am almost done building,i know there are some people hoping i have measurements but i forgot to write down the measurements but it took alot of trial and errors oh yea the seat had to be cut down and reupholstered and a new bagger windsheild and plenty more and harley supertrapp exhaust .
i know there are some people here that won't like this but this is what i wanted and a honda f6b is out of my price range so this is my version,i am sure there is plenty more i didn't add to this story but if i see you next month at Americade say hi because it will be my 1st time there and i would be happy to tell you about it

That's a nice job! I've been thinking about the same thing for my 93 SE. But most of the time the Boss is riding along and she always fills the trunk up with junk. This is even after telling her to keep it light up the there. I can't win, lol.
Interesting side note. I see you have a bell mounted in the same spot as I do. I have a second one on my sub frame in the back that came with the bike. Probably get another 2-3 MPH because of them.

ACN
Did you ever stop to think? And forget to start again?

I like it!

I removed the trunk from a 1200 I had. It turned out ok, but didn't look as good as yours,,,lol.

Hi,
congrats for your job from France.

I'm doing a similar transformation on mine, could you please tell or show me how have you done with the part i show in the next picture. I think this one is called the "spider". Have you cut it or deleter it entirely ?

Tahnks a lot !

Cut to remove, weld to replace. It's just steel.
