new alt and new whine in radio

I installed a new alternator and now have a whine in my radio.
I know I need a filter, but which and where does it go?

If your new alt. didn't have one, here is the factory Honda filter that goes on the back of the alternator. 31108-MN5-005

Pretty much any alternator condenser/capacitor will work. It bolts to the alternator (or any other ground source) and the wire connects to the alternator output. It absorbs the peaks generated by the alternator before it travels out over the bus into the bike.
