Vacuum, Fuel Line Suggestions

Post by TylitoZookowski »

Hey Everyone, I've got a vacuum leak and would like to just start replace hoses now that I have the carbs off.

Looking on Partzilla, looks like some of the hoses are kinda funky. (Some type of plastic tube that's shoved into a fuel hose and attached to the metal nozzles on the carb, for example). Most of those parts are no longer available.

Do I need to attempt to recreate the tubes how they are on the stock tubes? Or can I just cut some new line and run it, and cover spots that might get hot with silicone tape?

I attached a picture of the particular hose that I'm talking about, but I'm sure there are other hoses that the general idea applies to. Just run new line or there's a good reason the hoses are as they are?
