Hazard + Fog switches

Post by collinsa »

Can any one advise if the switches are available separately or does one have to purchase the whole of the headlight adjust / height adjust panel known in the parts catalogue as

switch assay height control
35800-MCA-043
H/C 6651860

The switches are the same and have two number on then 00406 and M6154
The Hazard switch is standard with the bike and the Fog light switch was an aftermarket Honda accessory added by the previous owner when he installed the fog lights

Anyone have the name of a supplier I can order from

Try Ebay. Also, MRCycles is reasonably priced compared to OEM Suggested retail.

Here at JustWings - GL1800 Service and Repair, we usually clean, and lube the 4-way switch. Below is the product we lube them with. Once the switch is removed, we use BrakeClean (red can), and a small acid-core brush to clean the insides.

The fog lamp switch can be cleaned too, but because of labor costs, it's far cheaper to replace it. If you have a non-airbagger, the part number for the foglamp switch is 0BV31-MCA-10008 ... if the part number superseeds to 08v31-MCA-10009, it will not work. Be careful to not lose the spring and the brushes on the inside.
