Is it possible to test the Heat Control Unit off the bike?
I have been fault finding the grips/seats heating system on my 2006 GL1800...is there any way to test the Heat Control Unit once it has been removed from the bike? I would hate to order a new one, only to find it did not fix the heating issue. Thanks much.

This is an old problem, which in turn warms not handle or seat?

Short answer- NO
Long answer- There is a detailed trouble shooting sequence to go through that is outlined in the shop manual. Many have found the left grip to be the culprit for Comfort System failure.
