Re: Trunk saddlebag rails removal
Couple of suggestions. Place short stainless bolts or even small carriage bolts in the holes and tighten nuts on from the inside if you can. They will be noticeable, but perhaps not objectionable. Use JB Weld to fill the holes, smooth them off and put a decorative stripe over them. The proper way of filling holes in ABS is with plastic weld, but as the bags are painted, this would probably screw up the paint. And a final possibility would be a tad costly. Find some new bags on ebay, hopefully in the right color for your bike, and if not, paint them. Trike take offs are normally not too expensive.

Re: Trunk saddlebag rails removal
Did the same thing on my 1100.
Auto parts store yielded "push in" interior panel retainer/clip. Cut off the excess, a little dab of RTV to hold.
Done. Something like these. Very common.
