Audio and CD changer
Does anyone know if and how to shuffle the tunes on a cd changer? I don't have a manual.

Re: Audio and CD changer
Are you trying to change between songs on the same CD or change between CDs.
If you are trying to change between songs on the same disk use the controlls on the left hand
grip. Just below the Vol control.

And to change CDs hold the control longer - two seconds - until you hear a beep in your headset. Short press up or down changes songs, long press changes CDs.

Thanks for the info. What I was trying to understand was how do you set the CD changer up to shuffle the songs, so the songs play random.

They will play in order-no way for random shuffle automatically.

Re: Audio and CD changer
I have a 2002 GL1800 ABS and to shuffle CD playback of a single selected CD (on the actual CD Changer, not MP3 alternative) press the "A-SEL RPT/RDM"switch on the radio panel's upper right corner. A-SEL functions with the radio to reprogram channel buttons automatically as you travel out of your home area, finding channels for you. When playing a CD the same switch functions as RPT/RDM (Repeat or Randomize) toggle.
NOTE: If you have an aftermarket digital MP3 type player instead of the CD Changer DO NOT press the RPT/RDM switch, the result is to find the Stereo completely unresponsive to any further commands until you shut down and remove and replace the radio fuse or battery cable. I have the CarGo MP3/IPOD player installed and found this out the hard way when the volume maxed out and stayed that way until I shut down; no permanent issue but an inconvenience at the least. I would hope future updates to this device have addressed it but not in my current unit. I would advise testing the option before you find out the issue exists on the highway in traffic, it was a bit unexpected!
