Heated seats and grips

Post by goanders »

Does anyone have experience with trouble shooting problems with heated seats and grips. I see they are wired in series which means any one element could cause them all to fail I was wondering if there is a common problem area where a person should concentrate searching for the problem I have a 2007 airbag model which makes it even more complecated.

We did have that topic here for quite a while. I do not recall the result, but it should be searchable. I will take a look, and see if I can find it.

Yep - here is some of it:

It ain't about the destination - it's all about the journey

As mentioned in one of those threads, the 1800 heating system is fairly complex, and the steps required to take to diagnose the the problem are detailed in the service manual. Are both of them not working at all?
