Air box/Filter upgrade

Post by Sally »

Well today I had to take shelter off GL1800 to remove gas tank to install new rear shock. So I ordered a new air filter because if your in there you may as well just change it.So I had an ideal that I seen on my cars air filter and fit it to my goldwing. Some cars have a vaccum gage on outside of air box letting you know when your filter is dirty goes from green to yellow then red when dirty. So I installed a port in the air box ran vaccum hose to front of wing above timing cover so you can't see it and installed a gage to check filter.Hoping not to be taking apart until filter is really needed.Saving hours of time and cost of filter when not really needed.Sally
