I had a trike conversion done and now nothing heats up, grips, seats. The shop that did the work is far away and I would like to solve this myself. Both heater fuses look good and the seat harness is plugged in. Any ideas??
Thanks

Contact the converter and ask them how they normally hook these things up, after you tell them it is not complete.

The most usual culprit here is forgetting to plug the seat in when putting it back on.
Take the seat bolts out, raise the rear of the seat and check to make sure it's plugged "Completely" together, if at all.
If the seat i not properly connected it, nor the heated grips, will work.

Re: Heater Package on GL1800 Doesn't Work
I removed the seat and backrest and found everything in order. I checked the fuses and heater relay, also OK. It could be the right grip that many have mentioned and I tried following the service manual to check continuity via the heater connector but the wire colors specified in the manual do not correspond to the colors on my connector. I called Roadsmith and they suggested checking the triple tree for a pinched wire. At this point, I'm done fooling around with this and I called the shop that did the conversion. They will look at it and have said that finding the problem should be very easy. I hope they are right.
Thanks for the replies.

Strange! I thought it was the left grip that has the most failures!
Anyway, hope the installer finds and corrects the problem for you.
