audio display 2005 gl1800
last trip, noticed audio display out, also no control over audio system. When I got home during shutdown I noticed the audio system would not shut down. I disconected negitive terminal, and rehooked it and things were back to normal, every thing working. Nothing in the trouble shooting manual that covers this. Where should I start looking? JayB

Perhaps nowhere. Give it a bit to see if it happens again. If not, problem solved. If it happens again, then you will be advised to start an investigation. Sometimes these bikes get gremlins, that clear on their own.

Do you have the Bike MP3 or the J & M MP3 Player installed??jayb wrote:last trip, noticed audio display out, also no control over audio system. There was an issue with these doing this if you hit the "ASEL" button on your control panel. For some reason, this switch does not play well with these players, and they lock up. The fix is to remove the battery cable and let it sit for 5 minutes then reconnect, this resets it and all will be fine........... till you hit the ASEL button again......
