Here's a couple of pictures of the Fatwing being blacked out.Couldn't stand all that red and silver/gray.The red looks faded out to orange in the sun,but it's not it's just an orangy red.Still have a couple of pieces and the belly pan I made to paint black.Got to make sure the pan fits before I paint it.
I want to get the trunk rack powder coated as well because it's pitted a bit and the crappy Kury chrome is peeling.

Very nice. I like it! What did you paint it with?

Krylon rattle can.I was going to send the pieces to a paint shop, but then I thought I'd give it a go and if it didn't turn out I could still send it out to a shop. It's not perfect, but I'd have to point out the imperfections to you.I can live with that.

It looks more muscular for some reason. Tougher, but not over the top. Just the right touch. Well done.

Re: Fatwing blackout project
Thanks for the kind words.I guess I should have said that the trim on the bags and trunk came off of a black Wing.I purchased the backend of a triked Wing and got the bags, but the trunk trim I traded a rear shock/spring ass. for.You can tell the difference, but it's far enough apart that once again most would not notice. The top pieces are gloss black while all the bottom pieces are satin black.Don't think it would have looked right all shiny black.I also painted the guage/ignition switch cover satin black as the silver/gray wasn't looking so good.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.
