Re: Battery Replacement
What's the voltage at the battery terminals with the bike off, and then again with the bike running?

Re: Battery Replacement
I don't have a schematic handy but I would first check fuses.
Restoration of the failed accessories may also include the alternator trigger line.
The if you find a blown fuse, determine what blew it.

Fuses good......voltage at alternator .....does not show increase when running.......suspect blown diodes in system?virgilmobile wrote:I don't have a schematic handy but I would first check fuses.

Re: Battery Replacement
Ill see what I can dig up more info and something you can test....in the mean time...
If you can get to the alternator, there should be a few wires on the back...
The big one is from the battery...there may be 2 small ones...Green is always ground...the other is switched ignition...start the bike and see if there is 12 volts on it....if it's low (less than battery volts) the alternator will not charge....

Re: Battery Replacement
Here's a bit of info for the alternator...measure the volts on the wire indicated...The relay can be swapped if you suspect it's bad..
