I have a 2013 with Navi. Is there any way to reduce the amount of reflection on the screen. The position and curvature of the screen makes it nearly impossible to seed other than at night. Any solutions?
Thanks!

Many people have used the Model 324 Glarestomper with good results on the GL1800. I have used their products on my aftermarket GPS units for many years now.Auggie wrote:I have a 2013 with Navi. The Navi does have a hood over the top similar to the glare stomper. I think that it is something to do with the curved plastic in front. P poor design in my opinion.

I wear polarized sunglasses, they really cut the glare. Leaning back a little when you look at the screen helps too.
Very poor engineering on this item.

Here's another option specifically designed for the GL1800:

This is the one I have on my 2009. It works quite well. I got mine off ebay, and the cost was minimal.WingAdmin wrote:Here's another option specifically designed for the GL1800:

I agree this is a very poor design. It doesn't seem to matter where the sun is in the sky. It's like the engineer's went out of their way to create as much glare as possible. A screen is definitely on the top of my shopping list.

Re: 2013 Navi System Screen
I am willing to try most anything. I guess riding at night is the only way to see the screen clearly. That screen is multi-function, you can't even see the time. I have tried to contact the guy that makes the GL1800 Visor and he is moving and will be back on line in mid-May. Guess he must have closed up shop as my calendar days May 29th. Thanks for all the replies.
