You don't have to totally remove the top shelter in most cases. Just take out enough bolts on the sides and loosen up others. Then prop it up with something till you find the data connector and plug the line into it and install the filters in the radiator leads (if you use them, they only come into play if you are using cb and the radiator fans are running). If you are using a big wood drill bit instead of a keyhole saw bit hold the drill tight and go very slow. I didn't tune the SWR on my '08 or my '13 and have had good luck as have others; but if you can borrow a rig it would be good to do it.
