'09 GL 1800 right side pocket lock release cable help
I'm trying to replace the release cable for the right side front fairing pocket and having an issue. I can't seem to get the new cable routed correctly. It works fine until before completing the install but once I install the switch panel (lower with key lock) then it binds and the key won't turn. Can anyone give a description on routing the release cable or even a photo of how it is run from the pocket to the key lock? I really don't want to have to go to the dealer for something so "simple". TIA

Did you make sure to clip the cable holder into the pocket switch?

Motorhead, I've had problems with mine after I've done work to the right side,
just make sure the cable is clipped in properly at the pocket and there is looseness in the cable, (ie: not jammed under the fairing). I've had to play around with it at times, but always managed to get it working.
Good luck
