Orange S light between fuel gauge and temp gauge on gl 1800.

Hi,

I have owned a GL1800 wing for 5 days now and it's a lovely bike.

I have a simple question.

There is an orange S light between the fuel gauge display and the temp sensor display. This illuminates occasionally. What does it indicate please. I don't have the owners manual and I have looked through the Haynes manual and searched the internet but can't find the answer.

Any help would be appreciated.

The "S" light illuminates normally when your side stand is in the down position.When it is lit if you happen to forget to put it in the up position and put it in gear the engine will stall as a safety feature.Hope that helps.
