Compatible Tail Lights

I have found some chrome tail lights for goldwing problem being is the trunk lights say it fits 2001 to 2010 and the saddle bag ones 2006 to 2010. I have a 2005 gl 1800 no navi, no abs it came from the states and is in MPH(not sure if it makes a difference). My question is will the saddle bag lights fit in my 2005? if not why can i not does anyone know where i can find them for the 2005?
