Made with acrylic so, no have not tried one!
Bought an F4 customs. Made with coated polycarbonate. Probably the last shield I'll ever need to buy!

The GL1800 is a crotch rocket on Steroids.

Re: Madstad Screen
G'day, I'm running with one and love it. You tend to cop a little more moisture when it rains. I'm only a short.... person, so with the Madstad I can see over the screen. Buffetting is not a problem for me, and even the wife says she doesn't feel any. I've had it on for about 6 months and ridden in ALL weather. On cold mornings I now have to have the faceshield down, but I don't find that a problem. (With the standard screen I always rode with the faceshield open, except in rain).
Would I buy another if necessary? YES I would.

Re: Madstad Screen
I just installed a 12” light gray MadStad to my GL1800. I am 5’8” and wanted a shield a little lower than the stock unit. At the lowest setting with the stock shield, I could see just over the shield but I had to sit straight up. I really like the look and feel of the MadStad but I have seen a few comment on YouTube from guys who think they’re ugly. I don’t pay much attention to them.
I posted a short video of my unit.

My son is going to enjoy it for many years to come.

opinions are common to every one with an A*hole
ignore them, it is the best designed windscreen to come along in ages.
as you have seen, it fits all of your needs, not suitable right now?
just stop and adjust it up or down, tilt it forward or backward.
love mine, and so does my son, when I gave him my 1800 last August.

I've had mine for over a year and love it. No more wind buffering, excellent in the summer, manageable in the spring and fall. Will definitely buy one again.
