GPS Modification

Post by lasvegasal »

Hello friends - I would be very appreciative if someone could tell me the best way to modify the GPS system on my 2014 Goldwing in order to allow access to the GPS while in motion. I understand the dangers and reasons why Honda locked this out, how ever I still would like to have access. I read one post involving relays and reverse switches etc and believe this may be too complicated. Has anyone accomplished this on a 2014 yet? Apparently the wiring has been changed on the Gen 2 bikes. Thank you for your time and response.

Sorry, am not able to answer your question, however, that is the first time I have seen a Skype number for the motorcycle model. Is that so that you can be called on the move? :D

don't know if they allow cross forum posting...but the link below explains on how to modify the VSS ( Vehicle Speed Sensor) on a 2012 model...basically it fools the GPS into thinking the bike is not moving and allows GPS input ( a toggle switch is placed in the circuit to turn off the VSS signal)...I try and start my bike by first turning the key to Aux position, wait for the GPS to load and then move the key to the On position and start the bike...it works for me...hope this helps
