Fi question on 2001 wing
Ok guys and gals I know this has been covered here before, but I can't find an answer to this Pacific question. I have a 2001 Goldwing , I've had the bike for about a year and a half now after riding it for about 30 minutes The FI light comes on and the code its getting is for the left Knock sensor. The bike runs perfect I'm not getting any stuttering are any problems whatsoever with the bike. Today I swapped out the two sensors from left to right just went for a ride and almost immediately the FI light came on. I pulled over and checked the code and it was the same code two long and six short blinks which is still the left sensor the only difference is they came on after only about five minutes of writing best time, my question is if it is the brain box that is causing this , the bike is still running perfect and I'm having no issues other than the light coming on , is there a problem if I just leave it that way as I understand the units had a faulty cdi unit which is costly and showed false knock sensor codes
