Re: Reverse
The only mechanical reverse is the original one. Put both feet on the ground, bike in neutral, and push backward!

Re: Reverse
pappajim,
Okay I am confused. The GL1800 comes with reverse. Since it works with the starter instead of the transmission is that what you mean about "mechanical"? Either way it beats pushing the Wing backward.

2. GL1800's all have reverse so, most of us do not understand your question!

Re: Reverse
Deputy Dawg, I was saying my little ditty with tongue in check. The only 1800 without the reverse is the F6B. Which is what I have and hence my reverse is the good old basic huff and puff and push backward!
But the question is a little unclear as to actual info needed.

Re: Reverse
It probably was a dumb question , I know it has reverse that works off the starter. I was wondering if the goldwing had a option with the transmission as far as reverse goes. I know a harley you can add a reverse gear. I just put a Roadsmith Trike Kit and thought my 2007 Wing and the reverse is REALLY SLOW, not that I need to go fast or anything.

Re: Reverse
I don't know that anyone has ever bothered making an aftermarket mechanical reverse for 1500 and 1800 Goldwings as the vast majority of the bikes sold already included reverse.poppajim wrote:It probably was a dumb question , I know it has reverse that works off the starter. Re: Reverse
If you add another reverse, and put both switches into reverse, will the bike then go forward when pushing the reverse button???
Food for thought.
