Tire replacement time.

Post by 1bucketlist »

My Dunlops are about gone on my 2010 GL1800. I am thinking of putting on the Bridgestone Exedra 709/704. I would like to here from riders who have had them. What do you think of the wearing and the ride on them. Pros and cons. I am tired of the fast wearing on the Dunlops.

Just replaced a set of Bridgestones 709/704/ with the same. Had 16,000 miles on them and still were not down to the wear bar. But needed to replace because I have a couple of big rides coming up. Ran Dunlops for the first 160,000 miles but like the 709/704 better. On my last trip went thru the rain storm that washed out I15 in Nv. flash floods in the Mojave Desert, roads covered in debris from those floods, 110 degrees thru Death Valley and cold winter roads. Never did I feel that the tires couldn't handle it or felt squirrelly and no cupping.

If you go with them hope your experience is similar to mine.

Had Dunflops, went to 'Stones and never looked back (except when I looked AT the back and went Darkside 8-) )

The more I hear from Stone users the more I want to try them. Does anyone know if there will be a tire vendor at the GWRRA Illinois Chapter Rally in Rock Falls on July 24-25? Thanks for the tire info.
