Hi guys,
I have a strange problem in my 2001 GL 1800. The starter engine never shuts down.
The bike was stopped all winter long and yesterday I started up the engine to begin using it normally.
I drove 100 m, stopped and turn the key (the engine) off but, with the key turned off (and even with the MAIN fuse out of the place), the starter keeps starting up the engine until it drains the battery out.
Does anybody know the possible cause of this anomaly and how to fix it?
Appreciate your help.

Sounds like one or both of the starter relays might be stuck.

Hi Ghostman,
Thanks for your prompt and precious help.
I followed your advice and started by the most simple and obvious: Check the starter switch.
Cleaned it, put it back in place and the engine start working perfectly! The problem was right there, the relays and the starter engine are both ok.
Thank you once again
