Many will have their opinions on this based on batteries they have tried. You can go cheap to Walmart or Advance Auto and get a battery that will work.
Personally I have had great luck with the stock battery a Yuasa YTX20HLBS. They also have a slightly better performing battery the GYZ20L but the price is up there. You might also want to review the Yuasa Tech manual for the charging and care of a battery. This is an excellent resource even if you never buy a Yuasa battery: http://www.yuasabatteries.com/pdfs/TechManual_2014.pdf

You can buy a quality AGM battery at Batteries Plus for around $100.
I have one in my '96 that is nearly 6 years old - I had it load tested and it is still perfectly fine.
If I am ever out on the road and need a new one - Batteries Plus are in every major market.
