Mirror and Turn Signal Lights
I am not mechanically inclined but I'm hoping someone in this group can troubleshoot in non-technical language the problem I'm having with my GL1800 mirror lights and turn signal. Basically when I turn on my right signal light, the signal light will work, but the mirrors running light on the right side will go off and not come back on. However, If I push the turn signal switch to the left (not enough to turn the left turn signal on) the mirrors running lights on the right side will come back on. The same happens on the left side as well, so when I lightly push the turn signal switch towards the right, but not enough to activate the right turn signal the left mirror running light will come back on. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Re: Mirror and Turn Signal Lights
I first expect the flasher relay..It's the easiest to substute.
Do check the fuses too.

Re: Mirror and Turn Signal Lights
I'll have both of these looked at and see if this fixes the problem. Thank you.

Re: Mirror and Turn Signal Lights
Finding a schematic,I see the circuit is fed power from the Accessory relay/circuit.

Re: Mirror and Turn Signal Lights
But it's the turn switch itself that controls whether or not the running light turns on and off when the turn signals are actuated. I would have a look at cleaning the contacts inside the turn switch.

My bad.Your correct.Check the easy stuff. The flasher is working.it is a multi contact switch and just part may be bad.
