I'm having fits with the radio on my wing. The battery went down and I had to jump it, the radio wouldn't work, I charged the battery, and got it working but the handlebar volume control wouldn't work and it wouldn't change frequencies. i pulled fuses 21 & 22 left them out for about 10 minutes. put them back in and it worked as long as the engine wasn't running, but I couldn't get it to switch to headset, then the volume and tune controls wouldn't work again. I rode 60 miles with no radio, got home and turned bike off, started it back up and the radio came on. I was able to get the volume and tune to work but still no headset.
I shut it off again and nothing worked, I replaced fuses 21 & 22, disconnected the battery and let it set about 10-15 minutes, put everything back together, got the volume up to 30 can't tune it, volume control doesn't work again.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Give LarryM. a call about your problems (well, not a call, but email him). See what he has to say. He's a Goldwing owner and has a business of repairing and upgrading the audio systems for these bikes. He upgraded mine and it sounds great!

My 02's radio did the dame after changing the air filter. I had connected the 2 large plugs to the radio but the left hand one didn't seat fully and the left handle bar POD was inoperative. I loosened the shelter enough to slip my hand painfully under the front and press the connector in the last itty bit and every thing was good again. Granted I had the shelter off and you don't mention that but its worth a shot if nothing more relevant fixes it.

Thank you for posting this link. I have had issues with headset noise for sometime and his upgrade for this problem looks like just the right solution.Steve F wrote:Give LarryM. a call about your problems (well, not a call, but email him).
