LED lighting 2001 wing
LED lighting 2001 wing
Hey everyone, just got me a Goldwing a few weeks ago and have spent some time on this site and it's great. I bought a 2001 GL1800 and started out having dealer replace the starter which was probably not necessary but I got by rather cheaply. Now I am putting some LED light strips on the bike, one inside the front fairing, one underneath by the forks and one each under saddlebags. I have 2 left and since I am hiding the fixtures and using only the glow of the lights, I thought the last 2 would look great mounted inside the center piece of the radiator fairings and pointed back toward the radiators. I have purchased a service manual but it really shows more of dismantling the bike. I was hoping there was a easy method of popping that center piece out and be done, but not break any thing in the process. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: LED lighting 2001 wing
3 weeks old and probably well done and dusted, but for future reference, the rad vent garnish is screwed from the inside, the only way to remove them is to remove the fairing. The chrome ones you see are stuck on.
If at first you don't succeed, hide the evidence.
