F1 error code

Post by rooster2u »

I saw the info on resetting the lite/code but what caused it to come on or come back??? my Trike does not have the kickstand any longer. it seams that the light comes on when the fan comes on ; then stays on for the duration of the ride.runs great; no overheat. this started when I replaced the battery, but got stuck AND RAN a tank of regular 89 through the engine. now 2 tanks of premium later we still have this light on??? please help !!! thanks, rooster2u !!!

I might suggest installing a manually-operated switch in place of the kickstand switch for just this reason.

Or, if the original switch is still in place, perhaps you could actuate it by hand?

It's the side stand that has the switch. It looks like this:
