I currently have a 2009 GW with the Honda CB System.
I ride with other riders who do not ride GW's and utilize the Sena communication system. There is a Kit available that integrates our headset wiring (example source link below).
I am hopefull that others have experienced in the same situation. Basically I want the best of both worlds which is to utilize the Sena system my Honda CB and also when not utilizing the Sena, use the CB.
- with the Sena Headset Module turned on and not linked via Bluetooth to other riders, will it enable me to utilize my Honda CB to communicate with other GW riders; and
- where the Sena Helmet Module utilizes a battery, which it linked to our CB system does it drawn power from the bike or from the Moduel Sena Battery.
As mentioned, I want the best of both worlds. At the same time I also want to change helmets to take advantage of the faceshield options (Bell Mag 9) which utilizes the Sena system.

I've posed the same questions to Sena however don't believe they understand what I am trying to accomplish. Any info/experience anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thx
Steve

I have a Sena SMH5 and would also like this function. It would be nice to be able to use the CB via Bluetooth but be able to communicate with others too with the Sena. Best of both as you stated.

Thanks Charlie, but I'm confused. When you go to the link mentioned on the above board, it lists many different options. I use the SMH5 which connects to anything Bluetooth, what would I need?charliektm400exc wrote:I think you will find the information you need in this thread
