no headlights
Help! All headlights quit working on my 2003 GL 1800. Have been working fine. Turned bike off. Came back 2 hrs later...no lights! Fuses ok. Where else do I check?

Re: no headlights
If you've checked the #9, 24 & 26 fuses and they are good, does the headlight come on when you use the reverse?
If so, it could be your starter switch is dirty and needs cleaning.
Sounds strange, but discussed here.

And while it's a rare occurrence, it's not outside the realm of possibility that BOTH bulbs burned out. If you switch to high beams, do they come on?

Re: no headlights
fixed! It was a dirty sticking ignition switch! No warning, just quit. At first I had no lights, then the headlamps started working in reverse gear. A little electrical parts cleaner and working the switch and the lights started working again...

Re: no headlights
Glad you were able to fix it.
It's amazing that someone has usually had the same issue.
You just have to search hard enough.
