Re: radio shuts off
weak charging system? when I use reverse- my radio shuts off, ALL the electric is going to the starter motor..if this is the case with your bike, you may not have enough electric power..

Re: radio shuts off
At low idle is the key. Thats why I suggested a weak charging system/low voltage. Could even be a bad ground. I am NOT a Honda mechanic. Just an old school tinkerer and electronic tech.
Low idle - foot/hand on brake lights on. All add a voltage drop or drain. If u can do basic electric tests check volts at idle and watch as they drop with brakes , radio, etc. should have at least 14+ volts at Rpm. And 12.+ at idle and maintain that voltage with accessories on. Mite be time for a new alt kit. Esp if u hv extra lights on ur bike

Re: radio shuts off
Yes the problem with my radio shuting off was a loose battery terminal. It attually died on me once . That forced me to take a closer look at the battery. Was going to remove the battery and when I started to loosen the positive post it was already loose. I hope it is as simple for you.
