using the cb mic. switch

Post by Derek K »

I would like to use the cb talk switch for another project, I have a 2008 gw and I was wondering if anyone knows where the plug is that goes to that switch?

That would be on the right side as you sit on the bike, under the shelter, inside a rubber boot. You can access it without removing the shelter, but it is tight, and you will need to loosen the shelter by unscrewing the fasteners that are under the trim strip. Be careful with the trim strip as the little claws break fairly easily. Google the install instructions for the CB and you will find a detailed sketch of the location. In the mean time, I will go through my instruction sheets and see if I can find that one. If I find it, I will post back.

Okay, here is a link to an installation booklet. It shows where the main connector is for the control wiring. It does not show it to be in a boot, but my memory says it was. I, however have an airbag model wing so that may be the difference.
