Tapered steering stem bearing torque

Have tapered steering stem bearings on 04 Goldwing trike would like to know what torque should be ?

The standard torque for the OEM caged ball bearings is 20 ft-lb. The general consensus for aftermarket tapered bearings is that 23-25 ft-lbs works best.

Thanks, torqued bearings to 25 ft lbs. Have not test drove yet.

You'll be fine @ 25lbs. I think that "All Balls" suggests 28, but I think that that's at bit much. I always go with 22-23 and have had no problems. Good Luck!
