Hitch install
Has anyone installed a hitch on a 2009 gl1800 with the amp box in the way. Instructions say to drop the amp box but then what do you do with it?

Re: Hitch install
I installed a Bushtec hitch on my 2012 (with the amp) and did not have to drop it out of the way. It was a little snug getting the top arms through, but not that bad.
What brand hitch wants you to remove the amp?

Re: Hitch install
I installed an Add On vertical trailer hitch a few years a go that I purchased from Wing Stuff to my 2009 Gold Wing. I don't recall moving the amp box but I did have to loosen a few bolts to make the arms that go to the frame and the bolts in the rear match up. It really is a two person job to line up things properly or you can get frustrated. Add the Plug and Play wiring harness, converter wiring and trailer and I have been really happy with everything.
