Head set clicking sound

Post by m2102 »

When wife and I ride together at times have a clicking sound in our head sets. When just me I don't have the sound. Partly pillion gremlin? In any case, could it be a bad cord on her end? Bluetooth would be an option but I only have sattelite radio, Cb, and soon new GPS that is Bluetooth. I know that Bluetooth set ups can be synced to each other but what about the Cb and satellite radio. Also have been leaning towards mic mutes. Would like to hear opinions on what options would work.
TIA

Funny you should mention this. Whenever my wife moves her headset cord, I hear clicking, even when her headset is unplugged. I have the EDSETS headsets if that matters. I never heard this when I had the J&M units.

Thanks for the reply. The headsets we have are J&M. She can hold them and it almost goes away. Maybe it could be as simple as a new lower cord. Headsets in the helmets are new last year.

I went Bluetooth but i do not have the cb so I can not answer the cb question. Anything on the bike gps, and radio can not be aired bluetooth. So what I do is play my music on the bike and use my scalarider g9 bluetooth for communition and for the phone, so if your satellite radio is built into the bike chances are it is not bluetooth either. I find the bluetooth system clear and noise free and works great for myself and my wife. Hope this helps if you do go bluetooth just be careful when you are looking just make sure it fits your needs, check the options that each one offer.
