GL1800 cruise control buzz speakers and earphones

Post by Aussiebob »

I get a buzzing noise in my speakers and earpieces when I set the cruise control on my 2007 GL 1800. Can I fix the problem and if so can you tell me how?

If any work was done under the shelter, the audio wires may be crossing near the cruise module. Another thing some have done, is to put a shield on the cruise module. A piece of thin aluminum bent to cover the module.

Take a look at Fred Harmon's site for his take on the fix: http://www.pbase.com/fredharmon/cruisefix

Thank you very much. I will follow up on the advice. Sorry the reply was delayed but I have just ridden across Australia and back for our goldwing club annual meeting. Just under 6000 miles. Nice ride in beautiful weather most of the way.
