Plug and play for 2015 GL1800

Post by dcherry »

There are three Plug and play connectors in the Trunk Lid; Red, White and Blue. All connectors are male. Where do I find a matching female connector. What are the three plugs designed for?? Also, is the red connector always hot??

Just a guess one is for the trunk spoiler light, one is 12v power for a power outlet, and the last is for the vanity mirror.

Thanks Jinx. Installed fairing plug in 5 minutes. Then installed power plug in trunk lid but discovered that the Honda hatachi 2 pin male was the same connector that was attached to the power plug. Called EC this morning and they are sending a female jumper to make the connections. I installed same configuration on my 2006 but didn't have the male/male problem. It is a shame that this gender BS is now complicating bike parts too, even though it was manufactured as a female it really wanted to be a male.

Just be careful where you park now, some states down allow transgenders to use the appropriate sex toilet!! Best park near target anytime you or the bike need a leak!! :D
