ant lead 06 Gl1800

Post by captdecker »

I have a 06 GL1800. That I pulled up to hard on the shelter lost most of the stations I could reserve, expect I broke the ant lead wire at radio.
I can't fine the part number for the lead from feeder ant to radio, to order a new one. Does someone know the part number?

Thanks for your help.

It's possible that you just pulled the antenna lead apart at its connector.

Does it come from the Antenna itself? Found this on HondaDirectLine Parts: 39152-MCA-000

That what I thinking. Some times getting it apart then fixing (if that is where trouble is) then getting it back together.

Here is a good link for removing the radio and re-installing it.

I have used them to repair my radio when the intercom went out (I think by jumping the bike with a dead battery). Larry (owner of the site) does excellent work.

Thanks tazmgr I thought of that and ordered a feeder ant, the lead is short so there is a cable that doesn't show in bike parts listing.

Fixed ..the lead is indeed intrical to main wire harness and of small gage. I got an ant 48" lead then adaptor that is 88 up GM Mini plug to universal radio. For the feeder ant. Part number 40-GM12 got my at work (O'Reilly's) also listed on Amazon.

Thanks for all your help.
