soundgate

Post by seagul »

Hi guys, the 2001 GL1800 I bought had a audio component branded as Soundgate, which was to be able to have my IPod connected to it. The component some how worked thru the bikes audio/aux system and seemed to work a treat for a short time. For some reason its now on the fritz, so I was wondering what you guys can suggest as an alternate that I can buy?
Regards rob

Did you give any thought to using a search engine such as Google to look Soundgate up? https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=Soundgate

Hi Mikeb,
Have looked into options but I think the jigger I got with the bike is some what out dated, and I'm not to sure about the options they are offering.
thanks for your time youngfella.

Hi wingers!
Like most of you guys I to bought an adapter to ookup an iPod and controlled by the wing buttons,
But occasionally the iPod would sop and I had to turned off then on to restarted plus I had to use iTunes
To transfer the tunes to iPod and I hated with passion.
When I sold the bike I lifted in the trunk and the new owner was very happy so was I to get rid off.
So I came up with this:
Most of us have an extra cell phone that can play music and has a Bluetooth, I started to look for a Bluetooth receiver found it on amazon some were 12$ some 4$ I've bouth 10 pcs.
When my phone contract expired I received a new phone with the new contract so I used the old phone as an MP3 player filled an 8 Gb sad d card and inserted in the phone.
Now I don't have to use iTunes to convert the tunes and never have to limited to number of songs or folder and best of all never hangs up.
The receiver is made by Mpow and the phone is a Blackberry, I can advance pause or going back.
The phone is stored n my pocket or anywhere in the bike compartment, if the battery its low I keep it in the left packet to charge it.
I can plug the aux jack in the phone and keep it in the left pocket or I can plug the aux jack in the Bluetoot .
The only disadvantage if it's raining I have to make sure I covered with a small piece of clear tape.
An the way to florid lost, one to water damage but I have 9 left so it was not a problem.
Let me see if I can post a picture.
