I bought a used 2008 GL1800 Champion Trike converted Goldwing, and even though the console has a CD on it, I cannot find the CD player anywhere. Some say its supposed to be in the upper trunk, under a second door, but have checked there and nothing that I can see is there. Anyone know? The conversion is also of 2008 vintage. Thx!!

Re: CD player on Champion Trike conversion
Just because the CD button is on the radio pod does not mean you have one!
If you looked under the "door" in the floor of the tour pack and didn't find one, you don't have one.
The CD player was an add on, they are not standard equipment!
Bike also contains all the controls for a CB radio. It also goes in the well below the tour pack floor. As with the CD player, as CB radio is an add on. Does not come as standard equipment.

If you had one, you'd probably be cussing at it anyway. Way too finicky and problematic. You can instead get a device that will plug directly into the CD connection on the bike and give you MP3 audio. I have one of those and it's great, it's about the size of a deck of cards. I gather a bunch of songs on the computer, either download or RIP them from CD's and stuff a single SD card full of TONS and TONS of music.
http://www.bikeMP3.com makes the one I have, and you control it with the handlebar controls.
More specifically, here's a direct link:

not associated in any way, just a happy customer.
